Longtime Franklin County resident Michael Burd is celebrating his 40th year as a performing bassist. Mike has toured and recorded with many national, regional and local artists. Diversity is a hallmark of his musical interests. He can be found playing anything from folk to jazz, blues to americana, and roots to reggae. "I love it all, as long as it comes from the heart with reckless abandon." Mike is also a 21st Century Literacy Instructor at RSD9 Adult Education, where he facilitates the "Merry Plinksters" Ukulele Group.
